North Korea vowed to arrest those responsible for the failed ship launch

Seoul: North Korea said on Friday that he took steps to arrest and investigate those responsible for the unsuccessful launch of their second naval destroyer after leader Kim Jong uncontrolled on the incident, which he said that was caused by criminal negligence. The state media said the 5,000-ton-class warship was damaged, when a transport craddle was separated on the ship’s stern during a launch ceremony at Chongjin’s Northeast Port on Wednesday. On the site, satellite imagery showed the vessel lying on its side, most of its rudges were immersed and draped into a blue cover.North Korea’s official Korean Central News Agency said on Friday that the seriousness of the loss was “not serious” and could be repaired in about 10 days. It said that the hull was scratched towards the starboard and some sea water was swept away in the stern section, although it was denied earlier assessment that was left with hole under the hull. Verification of North Korea’s extremely secret nature assessment almost impossible. North Korea has a history of manipulating or covering military-related failures, policy ventures and other accidents, although it has accepted some such events in recent years from time to time. Observers believe that North Korea’s unsuccessful launch was likely to show Kim’s own naval abilities and to show Kim’s resolve to promote discipline. KCNA reported that the Central Military Commission of North called Hong Kill Ho, manager of Chongjin Shipyard, as it started its investigation into the unsuccessful launch. The Commission said, “No matter how good the warship situation is, the fact that the accident is an inaccessible criminal act, unchanged, and those responsible for it can never take out their responsibility for the crime,” according to KCNA. Kim, who was present at the unsuccessful launch, convicted military officials, scientists and shipyard operators and ordered that the warship be repaired before the party of high-level ruling workers in late June. The damaged ship is evaluated as the same class as the first destroyer of North Korea, unveiling with great pomp last month and said that it is capable of carrying various weapons including nuclear missiles. Analysts say it is the largest and most advanced warship of the north and was possibly built with Russian aid. North Korea-centric 38 North Website evaluated last week that North Korea was preparing to launch the destroyer in Chongjin with a method, which was rarely used. The report stated that the ship was being prepared to launch the quite sideways, while the previous destroyer was launched in the western shipyard of Nempo.
