No relief for Hegseth, Mike Waltz: ‘Leak’ of Yemen War Plan to check Pentagon

The office of the Pentagon Inspector General will investigate to discuss air strikes on Yemen for the use of commercial messaging app signal of Defense Secretary PT Hegaseth, a memorandum issued on Thursday said. The reviews will also see the use of publicly available encrypted apps of other defense officers, which are not able to handle the classified material and are not part of the safe communication network of the Defense Department.
“The purpose of this evaluation is to determine to determine the extent to the extent to determine the Defense Secretary and other DOD personnel with DOD policies and procedures for the use of a commercial message application for the official business,” Acting Inspector General, Steven Stebins told Hegsith in a notification letter.
Atlantic journalist Jeffrey Goldberg claimed that he was accidentally added to a signal group by National Security Advisor Mike Waltz. The group consisted of Hegseth, Vice President JD Vance, Director of State Secretary Marco Rubio, National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and others, brought together to discuss March 15 military operations against Iran -backed Hothis.
The review was launched.
The investigation comes when the Donald Trump administration played a clear leak and said that no war plan is being discussed in the group. Mike Waltz got into the fire as the journalist was added to the group from his phone. Waltz said that he did not know the journalist and also saved his number on his phone – a claim that Goldberg rubbed.
Donald Trump said he would not fire Waltz, although the reports claimed that he deliberately did it as Vice President JD Vance also picked for Waltz’s Ooster.
