Oscar Arius: US canceled Visa of Nobel Peace Prize winner and former President of Costa Rica Oscar Arius

Former President of Costa Rickon and Nobel Peace Prize Winner Oscar Arius has said that United States Canceled your visa without providing a reason. Sain Jose, speaking at a news conference in 84 -year -old Arius, said he was informed by American authorities via email, but no justification for the decision.

Arius said, “During my governments, Costa Rica never received an order from Washington as if we were a Banana Republic.”
The US State Department has not provided official clarification. However, according to the New York Times, the visa of the Imizon was canceled under Section 221 (I) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, which allows the US government to cancel the visa at its discretion. However, Arius insisted that he had a “no idea”, adding, “If someone wants to punish me in the hope of silenceing me, it is not going to work.”
Arius’s visa comes amid a comprehensive investigation of foreign nationals under Trump’s administration.
According to the news agency AFP, the US has also canceled a visa for three Costa Rickon MPs, who opposed the steps to exclude Chinese firms by President Rodrigo Chews’ Costa Rica’s 5G network.
Trump’s administration has been careful with China’s influence in Latin America, opposing those who align with Beijing supporting President Chews’ decision. Disarray also follows the tendency of American authorities, which cancels the visas of critical individuals of Trump’s policies.
According to The New York Times, the US has denied entering foreigners who are engaged in protests or ideas seen as “hostile” for the country’s government or institutions.
Despite the cancellation of the visa, Arius said, “The United States is a paradigm of democracy, or it is. Today it is the characteristics of Autocracy,” as reported by AFP. He said that he had no immediate plan to go to America, but was described to harass the decision.
