Donald Trump said in a new pressure strategy on Ukraine, ‘Crimea will be with Russia

US President Donald Trump has claimed that Crimea, which is a part of Ukraine, will be with Russia, a step that is seen as a new pressure strategy on Volodimier Zelancesi to give concessions to end the war.
“Crimea will be with Russia,” Trump said in a time magazine interview published on Friday. “Zelansky thinks,” he said, “and everyone thinks it has been with them for a long time.”
This comment was made amidst the ongoing stresses on Crimea, which is a strategically important peninsula with the Black Sea that Russia seized in 2014 during the administration of President Barack Obama, which had been over the years before the full scale invasion started in 2022.
He said, “He had his submarine before any period, which we have been talking about for many years. People speak largely Russian in Crimea,” he said. “But it was given by Obama. It was not given by Trump,” he said.
He accused Zelansky of prolonging the war by opposing the conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Meanwhile, Trump has also slammed Putin for his constant attack on Ukrain, saying, “I am not happy with Russian attacks on Kiev. It’s not necessary, and very bad times. Vladimir, Stop! 5000 soldiers are dying in a week. Let’s Shanti Sahaka is done!”
During the recent peace discussion, Russia killed Sumi city, celebrating more than 30 citizens on Sunday, started drone attacks on Odessa, and bombing Zaporizhia with a powerful glide bomb.
Western European leaders have accused Putin of interacting and trying to seize a more Ukrainian region, while their army maintains pace on the battlefield. On Thursday, Zelansky reported that Ukraine accepted an American ceasefire resolution 44 days ago as the first step towards peace talks, but the Russian attacks continue.
