Israeli PM Netanyahu exploded Macron’s recognition plan for the Palestinian state, warned against ‘confusion’

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu criticized French President Emmanuel Macron, in his recent statement that France may recognize a Palestinian kingdom within months.
In a strong statement on Sunday, Netanyahu said, “It is seriously wrong to continue President Macron to promote the idea of a Palestinian state in the heart of our land, a state whose only aspiration is the destruction of Israel.”
Macron told France 5 television on Wednesday that France could officially recognize Palestine during the United Nations Peace Conference in New York in June. Macron said the move was aimed at triggering a comprehensive regional peace initiative, stating, “We should move towards recognition, and we will do so in the coming months.”
He said that recognition should “a collective dynamic” and eventually, Israel’s mutual recognition by Arab nations.
In response, Netanyahu accused the Palestinian leaders of remaining silent after the Hamas -led attack on October 7, 2023, calling it “the worst massacre of the Jews since Holocost”. He said, “We will not endanger our existence on the illusions separated from reality, and we will not accept moral lectures about the establishment of a Palestinian kingdom, which will endanger the existence of Israel, especially not from those who protest against the freedom to give freedom to other areas that do not have freedom.”
His son, Yire Netanyahu took his anger on social media to express his anger. In the post on Saturday night on X, he wrote in English, “You screw!” And was called for independence for many French regions including Corsica and French Polynesia, while accidentally referred to “French Guinea” instead of French Guiyana.
Young Netanyahu also accused France of “neo -casteism in West Africa”, a comment that tapped into the stresses in the former French colonies.
France has long supported Two state solutionsOctober 2023 is also included after Hamas’s attack.
However, formal recognition will mark a significant policy change. Around 150 countries currently recognize Palestine, and recent steps by Ireland, Spain, Norway and Slovenia were inspired by resentment over Israel’s military operations in Gaza.
Macron later clarified her comment on Friday, stating on X, “I support the valid rights of Palestinians and for a state and peace, such as I support Israel’s rights to live in peace and security.” He said, “Yes for peace. Yes for the safety of Israel. Yes for a Palestinian kingdom without Hamas.”
Macron insisted that France’s recognition aims to strengthen peace and oppose actors like Iran, who deny Israel’s right to exist. He also reiterated that Gaza “is not a real estate project,” the US President Donald Trump’s earlier suggestions to convert the region into a tourist center.
