Bollywood actor Neil Nitin Mukesh has talked against the notion that being a star kid guarantees success, calling Napotism a “overHipped” debate in the industry. Despite his music offspring – the grandson of the legendary singer Mukesh, believing that his journey has been easy.

“If Nepo was really an advantage of a child, I would not have to struggle so much. I would have been completely different today,” he told ANI. According to him, Napotism is sensational in Bollywood as actors are constantly in public eyes. “It has now become a difficult word, but people do not realize that it does not work in the way they think it does.”
The actor highlighted how outsiders of industries like Karthik Aryan, Rajkumar Rao and Vikrant Massey have fully identified their identity through talent. “These actors do not come from film families, yet they are doing exceptionally good. This is because their work speaks loudly compared to their background,” he said.

‘You can inherit a business, but no talent’
Neil also compared with other businesses, questioned why the nepotism debate is exclusive to Bollywood. “A doctor’s baby takes a doctor or a businessman’s child to a family business, not seen as brother -in -law. Why is it different for actors?”

While he admitted that parents can guide their children, they believe that artistic success was not inherited. “You can pass a business, but you cannot overcome the talent. An artist must prove himself,” he concluded.
