The 90s superhero series fascinated generations, placed the top of the TRP chart for years, and made Mukesh Khanna a domestic name. His red and gold superhero suit immediately became recognizable, even a popular view in comic opposition and local fairs. But now, the Internet is increasing the eyebrows on whether the iconic dress was actually an original design.
A viral post has recently sparked a debate by Twitter user @TheCoticDjay. The user shared an image in which Japanese wrestler compared Mukesh Khanna’s Shikhan dress. Made by Shaktimaan and Mukesh Khanna was acted in a titural role, including a supportive artists as well as Vaishnavi Mahant, Surendra Pal, Kitu Gidwani, Lalit Parimu and Tom Alter. Directed by Dinkar Jani, the show ran on Doordarshan from 1997 to 2005 and even inspired an animated adaptation and goods.
In 2022, Sony announced the live-action reboot of the franchise with a trilogy of films. Ranveer Singh had allegedly interacted to play the lead role, but according to recent reports, the project has reached a road and has currently stopped.
