‘MS Dhoni is already thinking …’: CSK Veteran Drops Bombshell | Cricket news

New Delhi: Disappointing run after Chennai Super Kings (CSK) IPL 2025 Continued to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) with a loss of five wickets, former India batsman Ambati Rayudu said that the five -time champions would now be extremely attentive to develop with the modern style of T20 cricket.
Despite making several changes to play at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, CSK’s discovery for a win failed, causing him to get stuck in the lower part of the numeral table at the tenth place.
“I know this is the lowest climb, but it’s a great learning for CSK as well. If you rest on your laurel and not look at the future, this is what can happen. From here, they will be very, very alert about being developed with sports. Even MS Dhoni has admitted that the game has already thought about a team,”
He said, “We have seen some shining lights in the batting line-up, especially in Bravis and Matre-they are real positivity. Sometimes, it takes a team to ground and remind them, it takes such a season that the game is always bigger than us. You have to stick to the basics and be polite,” he said.
The only bright spot for CSK was 30 for Ayush Matre and 42 of Developed Bravis for franchise. Rayudu also talked about CSK’s continuous struggles with the bat this season.
“I don’t think there is confusion in shot selection – if anything, enough shots are not being played. The batsmen are taking more time than as much as they should be.”

Should CSK make major changes in its squad for the next season?
He further commented on the changes made by the franchise: “The personnel needed a change, and now what we are watching is more than a trial run for the next season. I don’t think CSK can take most of its current squad forward – the best, seven or eight players can be maintained,” Rayudu said.
Looking forward to Saturday’s IPL 2025 clash, Shreyas Iyer will lead the Punjab Kings against his former side Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens. PBK had earlier defeated KKR by defending 111 in New Chandigarh.
“He will take great memories of Ground and KKR, won the IPL with him in the last season. A little fire will be set in the stomach – he was not intact, and now he is captaining Punjab. I think he will be concentrated and inspired. Punjab looks strong side in this season, and I see him as serious contrainders for playoffs.”
