New Delhi: One of the people arrested for his alleged involvement in the Meghalaya honeymoon murder case, later took some people to the last rites of the victim King Raghuvanshi, a person who was at the funeral.The case took a sensational turn when Meghalaya Police arrested Raghuvanshi’s wife Sonam along with his three alleged colleagues – Raj Singh Kushwaha (21), Akash Rajput (19), and Vishal Singh Chauhan (22).“When the king’s body reached here (Indore), Sonam’s family had arranged four -five vehicles for the people to attend the funeral. Kushwaha was driving four -first vehicle in which I had gone, although we did not talk. After seeing her picture in the media post, I recalled the episode,” The news agency PTI said Laxman Singh.Raghuvanshi was found dead on 2 June in a gorge near Weisavadong Falls in East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya, ten days after the missing couple’s disappearance. Raja and Sonam, who married in Indore on 11 May, were in the northeast state for their honeymoon.The husband and wife disappeared on May 23, when they found her body a few hours after exiting a homestay in Nongrite village.According to East Khasi Hills SP Vivek Simim, Kushwaha is also from Indore. The latter was arrested after Rajput and Chauhan respectively.The three were allegedly hired by Sonam, who surrendered in front of Nandganj police station in Gazipur, Uttar Pradesh.Outside the house of King Raghuvanshi, locals burnt Sonam’s picture and expressed anger over the murder. A huge poster along with his picture was demanded for a CBI inquiry.
