New Delhi: Shillong Court on Wednesday sent Sonam Raghuvanshi to an eight -day police custody with four of his colleagues.Sonam -who is accused of killing her husband Raja Raghuvanshi during her honeymoon in Meghalaya – was brought to Shillong on Tuesday midnight. A senior official said the other accused arrived on transit remand on Wednesday.East Khasi Hills District SP Vivek Simi said, “The police had demanded a 10-day remand of all the accused. The court allowed 8 days police custody.”Sonam was arrested from Gajipur in Uttar Pradesh, while her colleagues were caught for her alleged role in conspiracy and killing Raja Raghuvanshi from Indore in Madhya Pradesh.The official said that the special investigation team demanded police custody of the accused to rebuild the crime site in Sohra.He said that SIT has received six-day remand for accused persons from Indore and for three days for a one arrested from Gazipur.Raghuvanshi and his wife went missing on May 23 in the Sohra area of ​​Meghalaya on holiday. His body was found in a gorge on 2 June.
