Mark Carney to meet Donald Trump in America next week

Canadian PM Mark Carney with Donald Trump

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is set to meet US President Donald Trump at the White House next Tuesday, which is between tariffs and regional threats.
Carney’s Liberal Party scored an unexpected victory in an election, in which the supervisors interpreted Trump’s policies, especially their trade functions and a rejection of challenges for Canadian autonomy.
“We are meeting as the heads of our government,” said Carney and said, “I am not pretending to be the discussions that will be easy.” In post -election comments, Carney indicated that Canadian people chose new leadership to face Trump and strengthen the economy.
Carney announced that King Charles III On May 27, the government’s agenda will be introduced when Parliament re -joined. As the head of the kingdom of Canada within the British Commonwealth, Charles continued this tradition. Queen Elizabeth II first gave this address in 1957 and 1977.
“This clearly underlines the sovereignty of our country,” said Carney.
Since the success of Justin Trudeau, Carney has highlighted Canada’s British and French heritage. He said that the previous American relations of increasing integration have ended.
“On Tuesday, I made a very creative call with President Trump, and we agreed to meet in Washington next Tuesday,” Carney said. “My government will fight to get the best deal for Canada.”
Carney first announced an 80-year era of the US global economic leadership based on the end of the US-Canada friendship and the end of confidence and respect.
Unlike his predecessor, which Trump called Governor Trudeau, Carney was not mocked by the President.
Professor Robert Bothwell at Toronto University advised Carney’s visit to Washington, warning of possible insult to Canada and its leader. “There is no reason. You cannot negotiate with Trump. His word is not his bond. It is like writing on the water of a pond, a magnificent pond. We have nothing to achieve,” said Bothvel.
Four days after Liberals secured their fourth mandate, Carney announced the priorities of his government on 12 May, announcing a new cabinet establishment.
“The election is over now, and we are in a lifetime crisis. It’s time to come together, our team to put on Canada’s sweater and win a big,” Carney said. “Now is the time of ambition, to be bold, to complete this crisis with a heavy, positive force of united Canada.”
He offered to arrange a by -election, if the conservative Pierre wanted Pierre Pilevere, who lost his seat, to enter Parliament. “No game, nothing like that,” said Carney.
The conservatives later announced the resignation of an Alberta MP to enable Peelavere’s candidature.
Carney reported a productive discussion with Polylev about American relations, stating, “I am in politics, to do big things, nothing to happen.”
