The six dead have been identified as Surya Mayyakar (Sakhali, Bicholim), Pratibha Kalangutkar (Kumbharjua), Yashwant Kerkar (Thivim), Sagar Nandarj (Mathwada, Piligao), and Aditya and Tanuja and Tanuja Kauthkar (Ochit Vaada, Thivim). Health Minister Vishwajit Rane confirmed that four victims – two men and two women – were dead in the hospital.
Of the 60 injured, eight are in critical condition, including two ventilator support. He has been sent to Goa Medical College (GMC) in Bambolim for advanced care. Several others are being treated at Asilo Hospital and North Goa District Hospital in Mapusa. Two patients have been discharged, and ten others have suffered minor injuries.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant visited the injured in hospitals and confirmed that medical officials have been posted at Bicholim PHC, Mapusa District Hospital and GMC. “We are sure that all necessary treatments are being given on priority,” he said.

Health Minister Rain said, “We sent five ambulances through 108 services to the site. Three more were posted in Asilo, with additional teams on Standby. We have appointed nodal officers in GMC and Asilo to take care of treatment and provide regular updates.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to CM Sawant and took stock of the situation. He expressed condolences and assured full central assistance. “The Prime Minister also urged me to ensure that the injured get the best possible care,” Sawant said.
The authorities have not yet been confirmed the exact cause of the stampede, which was reportedly on the slope stretch near the temple till about 3 pm. An investigation is going on.
