Lebanon says that ‘more than 500’ Hizbollah establishments in the south are abolished.

Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said on Thursday that the Lebanese army demolished more than 500 military positions and arms depots “belonging to Hizbullah in the south of the country. In a television address for 100 days in the office, Salaam said that his government was moving forward with the reforms sought by the international community.“The state continues its action … to restore its authority over the entire national region … and to keep a monopoly on weapons,” he said.“The Lebanese army is continuing its deployment and has so far terminated more than 500 military posts and arms depots to the south of the Litni River, about 30 km from the Israeli border.”As part of the November 1 ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hizbullah, the Iran -backed terrorist group needed to pull their fighters out of the region and eliminate their military infrastructure in the south of Litani.Israel meant to withdraw from all Lebanese regions, but remains in five positions with Seema and says that it targets Hizbullah, which was severely weakened in the war.Salaam said, “There can be no safety or stability, while Israel’s daily violations continue, parts of our land have been occupied and our prisoners have not been freed.”The Prime Minister said that Lebanon planned to neutralize the Palestinian refugee camps, which are out of the control of the state. In addition, he said that the government’s economic reform scheme was not “fantasy”, but based on fixing previous mistakes and eliminating the financial and banking system. He said that Parliament had adopted a law to adopt a major demand of Banking Privacy – International Monetary Fund – and the government approved the law for restructuring the region.International donors have made a condition to unlock these reforms to unlock the billions of dollars to help Lebanon recover from a cripple financial crisis in 2019, surrounded by state mismanagement and corruption.
