At least one person was killed and five others were injured on Tuesday night after shooting at Toronto’s Lawrence Heights.The Toronto Police and Paramedics responded to the reports of the bullets after 8.30 am (local time) near Flemington and Zachri Rhodes in the area of Rani Avenue and Allen Road. Police said one person was declared dead on the spot, while the other five were rushed to the hospital with a gun bullet wound. His injuries at that time are unknown.Investigation is on, a command post has been set up in Renee Avenue and Flamington Road area. The police have not released any information about the potential suspects.Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow said he was “disturbed” from the incident and confirmed that his office was in touch with the police. He said, “I first want to thank the respondents – Toronto police, fire and paramedic services for their work on a very busy and challenging scene,” she said.The area remains under a heavy police appearance as officers work to collect more information.
