Demonstrations took place in Bangladesh including Dhaka City on Monday against Israeli action in Gaza. Various organizations spread in political, social, cultural, religious and professional areas took the streets of Dhaka in protest.
According to the organizers, the demonstrations against attacks on Palestinians in Gaza are part of the worldwide protests. Students are away from classes and examinations to participate in protests.
Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Advisor of the Interim Government in Bangladesh, said in a statement on X, “The Bangladesh government has expressed its strongest condemnation of the Israeli -occupied forces, which has been hacked since the massive murder and gross violation of human rights in the Gaza strip, which is for Ejrael, the entry of human aid is a pioneer.
Workers and professionals went on strike with the organizers and asked people to stop buying Israeli products.
The student participant of Dhaka University said, “We first support humanity. Israel that Palestine is doing Palestine to remove its identity from the world, they are cruelly bad. As a human, if I do not support Palestine right now, my humanity will be lost,” said the student participant of Dhaka University.
The protesters strongly opposed American support for Israeli’s Gaza, criticizing the inaction of bodies such as the United Nations, OIC and Arab League.
Responding to American participation, he said, “They are doing this for power, nothing else. If they had humanity in their hearts, they do not do this with people right now. We are demanding to stop the massacre and stop killing people.”
All Bangladeshi were part of the Palestinian flags, the location of solidarity, and the effigy of Netanyahu.
The USA has to face criticism over Trump’s suggested Palestinian transfer for reconstruction of Gaza. Arab countries reject the scheme, while human rights groups do ethnic cleaning it. The protesters also opposed the American suppression of Palestinian activities in the report of universities, Al Jazeera.
According to Gaza officials, 57 people were killed and 137 were injured in the last 24 hours. Since March 18, Israeli attacks led to 1,391 deaths and 3,434 injuries. The total casualties since October 7, 2023, have reached 50,752 and 115,475 injuries, according to Al Jazeera.
