Trump administration released reports of youth gender care report

The administration of US President Donald Trump on Thursday released that it was described as a comprehensive review of gender intervention for children and adolescents, increasing the alarm about “significant risks” with puberty blockers and surgery.
The 400-Page report was published without nominated authors-a decision that departs from standard scientific practice, but was justified by the Department of Health and Human Services as “to help maintain the integrity of this process”.
Gender care for youth is a deep polarization issue in many countries, in which medical professional attempts to balance competitive priorities: reducing psychological crisis, respecting patient autonomy, and ensuring that any intervention is safe, evidence-based and developed body and mind.
The well -recorded enmity of the Trump administration towards transgender people, and its frequent attacks are called “penis ideology”, has raised questions about the fairness of the study.
According to the report, gender-confusing treatment includes “infertility/sterility, sexual dysfunction, impaired bone density, adverse cognitive effects, cardiovascular disease and metabolic disorders, psychiatry disorders, surgical complications and regrets including risks.”
“Our duties are to protect the children of our country – do not expose them to unproven and irreversible medical interventions,” said J. Bhattacharya, director of the National Institute of Health. “We should follow the gold standard of science, not the worker agenda.”
But Aisha Mayis, a family physician in California and a member of non -profit physicians for reproductive health, the report was called “promotion”.
He said, “The purpose of today’s report is to be completely safe, effective, and handed over evidence-based health care, the transgender people they are,” he said.
“Being a transgender, such as being a sisjender, there is no alternative nor can it be reversed with any medical or social method. Similarly, Siszendor people know who they are, so people transfer to people. Similarly, CIS people get gender-suitable care, so transl transfits.”
In the UK, a separate high-profile review last year urged “excessive caution” when prescribing hormone treatment.
A four -year investigation of hair and youth gender identity services led by retired pediatrician Hillary Cass made dozens of recommendations from over -research to improve the reformal system.
The American Academy of Pediatrics have maintained their support and opposed the law to provide necessary care to transgender teenagers that restricts such reach or interfere with a doctor-leogi relationship.
While the political rhetoric around gender care has increased vigorously, data shows that the use of such care is not actually widespread.
According to a recent study published in Jama Pediatrics, less than 0.1 percent of the gender-class minors with private insurance received puberty blockers or hormone therapy between 2018 and 2022.
