‘Israeli fire kills 23 people in Gaza, many support sites’

Local health officials said Cairo: Israel’s fire and air strike killed at least 23 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, most of them near a support distribution site operated by US-supported Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, said local health officials.Medics in Al-Awadh and Al-Aksa hospitals in Central Gaza regions, where most of the casualties were transferred, said at least 15 people were killed as they tried to reach the GHF aid distribution site near the Netzerim Corridor.The rest of the enclaves were killed in separate attacks, he said. No immediate comments have been made by the Israeli Army or GHF on Saturday’s incidents.The GHF began distributing food packages at Gaza at the end of May, overseeing a new model of assistance distribution, which the United Nations says neither fair nor neutral.The Gaza Health Ministry said in a statement on Saturday that at least 274 people have been killed so far, and more than 2,000 have been injured, near the assistance distribution sites since starting operations in Gaza in GHF.Later on Saturday, the Israeli army ordered the residents of Khan Younis and the cities near Absan and Bani Suhala in the southern Gaza Patti to leave their homes and heads west towards the so -called human territory area, saying that it would work against “terrorist organizations” in the region.Hamas -led militants raided Israel and after carrying 251 hostages, 20 months ago a war broke out in Gaza and killed 1,200 people, most of them citizens, on October 7, 2023, the deadliest day of Israel.According to health officials in Gaza, Israel’s military operations have killed around 55,000 Palestinians, most of them citizens, and the densely populated strip has been highly flattened, home for more than two million people. Most of the population is displaced, and malnutrition is widespread.Despite efforts to restore a ceasefire in Gaza by the United States, Egypt and Qatar, neither Israel nor Hamas have shown a desire to return to the core demands, each side convicted each side for failure to reach one deal.
