The Iranians again faced an American travel ban imposed by President Donald Trump, with the decision with anger, frustration and some shrugs given the decades of tension between countries. Trump imposed a uniform restriction during his first term, unilaterally withdrew to the US with world powers from Teran’s 2015 nuclear deal, under which Iran limited its program in exchange for lifting economic sanctions. But when he returned to the White House and started making a new deal with Iran, it saw improvement in the country’s riyal currency and increased shares, but concerns have increased as its government is ready to reject an initial American proposal. The travel ban has made the mood more dark and inspired the Iranians to fear that Trump repeatedly praised his democratic government as well as 80 million people from countries to the countries while making a deal. “Now I think Trump is against all the Iranians, and his attitude is not limited to the government,” a 31 -year -old man Asghar Negati said, a 31 -year -old man. In the years after the Islamic Revolution of 1979 and later the US embassy hostage crisis, Iranian students traveled to the US to attend universities. Between 2018 and 2024, the average of about 10,000 Iranian students went to the US annually. Estimates suggest that today some 1 million Iranian people live in the US. 37 -year -old graphic designer, Mehranosh Alipore said that nations could have better relations if they can talk to each other in soft tons. “This is another foolish decision. Trump cannot reach his goals by putting pressure on ordinary Iranians,” he said. “Both countries can have better relations through the opening, not a restriction.” Bank Taylor Mahdih Nadery said that Trump was emphasizing the Israeli-Hamas war and his desperation efforts to reach the ceasefire in the Russia-Ukraine war. “Trump expressed his anger about his unsuccessful plans,” Nadery said. “He is complaining about Chinese and others who are also living in America.” Some said that the interest in the US was already decreasing before the latest ban. 75 -year -old Mohammad Ali Nairaki said, “Over the years, my two grandchildren went to Canada to continue their education in Canada.” “Iranians are not limited in immigration and they are not as much willing to visit America as they were decades ago. Iranians like Canada, as well as neighboring countries with rich economies like (United Arabs) Emirates.” But other people reported that high ranked government officials have children living or working in the US despite tension. “That’s fine, but if he also takes out the children of the authorities who live there, it would be great,” a person said that only gave his name as Mehdi. “We cannot travel to America, we cannot do about 80 percent of us. But if he takes out those who are already there then it will be much better.” Mehri Soltney, a resident of Tehran, offered rare support for Trump’s decision. “People who have family members in America have the right to leave, but want to go there,” he said. “So his policy is correct. He is doing the right thing.”
