IPL 2025: Rs. 2 crore to 12.25 crores! Mohammad Siraj hit a 100 -wicket mark in style. Cricket news

New Delhi: Mohammad Sirj completed his name in record books by completing 100 wickets in the Indian Premier League. IPL 2025 Conflicts between Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday. Speedster reached the milestone with his second wicket as Abhishek Sharma – became the 26th bowler in IPL history to achieve feats.
Suraj now has 100 wickets in 97 matches, with an average economy of just 29, of which the economy rate is 8.65. In particular, 42 of those wickets have come in the powerplay, underlining their impact with the new ball. He has been in the top form this season, already taking seven wickets in four matches.
Siraj started his IPL career with Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2017, which was selected from a base price of Rs 20 lakh for Rs 2.6 crore. He played six matches for SRH and on an average claimed 10 wickets of 21.20.
Royal Challengers Bangalore signed him for Rs 2.20 crore further from the 2018 season. Over the next several years, Siraj became an integral part of his speed attack, taking 83 wickets in 87 matches at 31.44.

Next to IPL 2025, Siraj entered the mega auction with a base price of Rs 2 crore.
Gujarat Titans secured their services for Rs 12.25 crore in auction held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Yuzvendra Chahal, who is currently playing for Punjab Kings, tops the list with 206 wickets under his belt.
