Sunrisers Hyderabad ended their two -match defeat with a five -wicket win over Chennai Super Kings at MA Chidambaram Stadium on Friday. This marked SRH’s third win of IPL 2025 season and his first win in CSK Fort, Chepack.
Both points made SRH six out of nine matches, which helped him to take Rajasthan Royals to the eighth position in the ten-team table. Meanwhile, the CSK crisis deepened as they slipped to their seventh loss in nine matches, lower part of the standing.

While SRH kept his playoff hopes alive, the route for the merit of CSK is now faster impossible.

To bowl first, dominating the speed attack of SRH. Harshal Patel led the charge with an impressive 4 for 28, while Pat Cummins (2/21), Jaydev Unadkat (2/21), and Mohammed Shami (1/28) supported him, claiming nine out of ten CSK wickets. The hosts were excluded for 154 in 19.5 overs.
Dewald Brevis scored the top with a fluent 42 off 25 balls for CSK, while young Ayush Matre (30) and Ravindra Jadeja (21) offered some resistance.
In response, SRH lost an initial wicket, but recovered through Travis Head (19) and Ishan Kishan (44). Kamindu Mendis (32) and Nitish Kumar Reddy (19) then added an unbeaten 49 -run stand for the sixth wicket, guiding the visitors with eight balls.
