According to a joint statement released on Wednesday, IndiGo has been ranked first to start commercial flight operations from the Navamy Group’s Navamy -owned Navamy.The airline 18 will begin with daily departure, with more than 15 cities. By November 2025, it is expected to expand to 79 daily departures, including 14 international flights. Further expansion is planned, in which the operation reaches 140 daily departure -30, of which will be international by 30 November 2026.The joint statement said, “This partnership will promote aviation growth in the country, making India the third largest aviation economy by 2030.”Indigo CEO, Peter Alber, said, “The opening airline to operate Indigo NMIA and we cannot be more pleased to announce it. Our coalition signs indicate the achievement of complete operational readiness on both sides.He said, “New flights from brand-new NMIA will enhance our customers’ travel experience by enjoying cheap, on-time-free services on our unique networks.”Arun Bansal, CEO of Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL), said, “We are happy to declare IndiGo as the first airline partner to start operations with NMIA. This partnership is a big step towards confirming NMIA status as a transfer hub for domestic and international travelers.”

The purpose of future expansion is to accommodate 90 million passengers and 3.2 million tonnes of cargo per year.Spread over 1,160 hectares, the NMIA will introduce a dual-airport system for Mumbai, aiming to reduce congestion at the existing airport and increase passenger services. The convenience includes two parallel runways for simultaneous operations, and is a 3,700 meter runway capable of handling large commercial aircraft.The Adani Group entered the aviation sector by winning the bid for six airports- Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Mangaluru, Jaipur, Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram- through agreements with the rights of airports in India. Aahl, 2019 adani enterprises ltd. Established as a fully owned subsidiary of the Mumbai, Mumbai also operates the airport.
