India’s first private-led helicopter manufacturing unit by Tata-Airbus to visit Karnataka; “Best -selling” H125 chopper to make Airbus

Airbus, European Aviation Giants, and Tata Advanced Systems (TASL), Tata Group’s aerospace divisions, Kolar, Karnataka are trying to set up a final assembly line (FAL) for H125 helicopters in Karnataka.The feature will build a popular H125 civil helicopter of Airbus for Indian and regional markets, which became the fourth establishment globally after those in France, America and Brazil. Initially by producing 10 helicopters annually, this feature will expand the operations in the next two decades based on the facing of the 500 light H125-class helicopters in the next two decades.This is India’s first private sector helicopter assembly facility, which strengthens the government’s Make in India Initiative, aims to achieve self -sufficiency in aerospace construction.Sources told ET that the facility would be located in the Vamgal Industrial Area, about two hours from Bangalore, where TASL already operates other facilities, including a satellite manufacturing unit.

Karnataka secured the aircraft manufacturing project at Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh (its Kia Motors facility) due to its strong support support ecosystem and existing TASL appearance.TASL has acquired 740,000 square feet in the Vamgal Industrial Area in Karnataka for the establishment of aircraft construction, final assembly and MRO facilities.The inner source of a project said, “The places were informed on the basis of their logistics facilities, expansion capacity, availability of skilled workforce and fast track approval of permissions based on the promises of the state government.”Also read ‘Make in India’ Defense Boost: Advanced version of Brahmos missile can be built in Uttar Pradesh; India and Russia started dialogueThe state aerospace and defense policy provides land subsidy, capital investment aid, stamp duty benefits, power fee incentives and production-linking benefits for five years.“It will not only strengthen indigenous manufacturing capabilities, but will also serve as a catalyst to develop advanced industrial groups,” aerospace manufacturer supplying Airbus, AEQUS, AEQUS, AEQUS, Aravind Melligeri commented.“Initiatives such as this drive skill development, attract supply chain investment, and build high-value employment, convert India’s change into a strategic node globally competitive and global aerospace manufacturing,”Tata and Airbus Vadodara are setting up a C295 aircraft assembly line in Gujarat. The state has attracted significant investments, which include semiconductor plant and international diamond bors, inspiring opposition leaders to suggest preference treatment from the central government.
