New Delhi: Former India spinner Amit Mishra “Wrong” and “unrelated” media reports have strongly denied, alleging that he and his family members have been booked in a domestic violence and dowry harassment case filed by his wife.
According to reports, Mishra’s wife has asked for Rs 1 crore in compensation and claimed that her family has demanded 1 million and a car at the time of her marriage.
Mishra, 42, dismissed the allegations and warned of legal results to use his name and image, which he called “unrelated stories”.
“I am very disappointed with what I am being conducted in the media. I have always respected the press, but when the news itself can be accurate, the picture used is mine – which is completely wrong. I should stop using my image for unrelated stories, or will be forced to take legal action,” Mishra wrote on X.
Experienced spinners have taken 22 Tests, 36 Odis and 10 T20 Eye, 76, 64 and 16 wickets respectively for India. He also has four half -centuries for his name in Test cricket.

During his IPL career, Mishra has played for four franchisees: now-Dift Deccan Chargers, Delhi Capital, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants.
