He called the incident “condemnable”, saying that people were only enjoying holidays or celebrating with loved ones. He expressed deep grief when he was targeted innocent life and said that it is not a tragedy that can be forgotten easily.

According to the police, at least four terrorists set fire to tourists from a close range. The daughter of a victim told PTI that the attackers mainly targeted the male tourists and asked him about his religion before shooting. He said that the terrorists asked if they were Hindus or Muslims and then chose their goals.
Large scale search operations are going on
Resistance Morcha (TRF) associated with the banned Pakistan-based group Lashkar-e-Tabi (late) has claimed responsibility for the attack. A large -scale search operation is going on, in which the Army, CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir are coming out of the police sector. Helicopters were used to airlift the injured, while the locals helped to take the ponies to Pahgam through the rough area.
