Former India captain Mohammad Azharuddin has expressed deep disappointment over this Hyderabad Cricket Association ,
The former cricketer did not put his feelings back, called the situation “heart -breaking” and “complete insult to the game”.
He said, “It hurts me deeply to say this, but I sometimes regret playing cricket. It is a heartbreaking to see those who have no understanding of the game, which is now in positions to teach and lead. It is completely insulted to the game,” he told IANS.
Azharuddin, who served as HCA President from September 2019 to September 2023, said that he intends to take legal action and urge the Control Board for Cricket in India to step into India.

“I am firm to take legal action against this injustice, and I urge the BCCI to intervene and take appropriate action. The issue is not isolated – Sunrisers Hyderabad also disputed the association with the association, highlighting a pattern of mismanagement and struggle,” East Kanp said.

He said, “What has come out is beyond comprehension, and it hurts me on a personal level. I was not allowed to contest elections in HCA elections, just because I exposed corruption within the system. That truth made me a goal,” he said.
The decision to remove Azharuddin’s name from the stadium stand, Justice (retired) V. Ishwarrah, HCA’s Ethics Officer took a petition filed by the Lord’s Cricket Club – A member unit of the State Association – Lords Cricket Club.
The petition alleged that during his tenure as HCA President, Azharuddin misused his position by taking arbitrary decision. This pointed to a top council meeting in particular in December 2019, when he passed a resolution to name the North Stand a month after taking office. According to the HCA rules, such proposals require approval from the general body, which was reportedly not obtained.
