New Delhi: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar already made another ghaff on Friday, under public investigation on several slip -ups – this time in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Addressing a public meeting in Rohta district, Nitish introduced PM Modi’s name with former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Realizing the error, he tried to recover quickly, and asked the crowd to stand up and “Pranam” PM Modi standing.This moment added to the growing list of incidents that have expressed concern over Kumar’s public conduct and his health.Opposition leaders, including Bihar CM’s chief Challenger and RJD MLA Tejashvi Yadav, have questioned their health and suitability to control the state.

In another incident, Kumar was suddenly seen clapping during a tribute to the anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi’s death, a clip that quickly went viral.Despite misunderstanding, Kumar praised the Modi government’s efforts for the development of Bihar. Speaking just before PM Modi, he appreciated the support of the Center in the budget and welcomed the initiative of the caste to be held in the next census census.Kumar said, “It is a matter of pride by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the development of Bihar, which is a matter of pride. I salute the Center to declare caste-based census. People from other parties were trying to create confusion.”He said that since the NDA has assumed power in the state, the government has given priority to development – especially in healthcare and road connectivity. Kumar said that several other infrastructure and housing projects are expected to be completed by June 2025.Bihar is moving towards assembly elections in November this, in which Nitish Kumar’s JD (U) has aligned with BJP as part of the ruling NDA alliance. There are 243 assembly seats for competition in the state.
