Imran Khan’s party files petition demanded his release from jail in view of tension with India

Islamabad: Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party filed a petition in the High Court on Friday, demanding the release from jail, which threatened his life on his health for prolonged detention influences and the current situation with India.In the WhatsApp message, Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party said that the party’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur contacted the Dislamabad High Court for the release of the party’s founder. 72 -year -old Khan has been lodged in Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, Garrison City in connection with several cases. The party said, “Islamabad High Court has been contacted for the release of Imran Khan. An application has been filed by Chief Minister KP Ali Amin.” “It has been requested that given the position of the current war with India, for national harmony and solidarity, and due to fear of drone attack in Adiala Jail, they should be immediately released on parole/probation.” The court has not set any date for hearing the petition. Talking to the media in the premises of the Islamabad High Court, Gandhapur described the founder of PTI as a leader of the Muslim Umma (community) and hoped for justice. He expressed concern about the lack of law and order in the country, stating that he has knocked on all the doors seeking justice. Gandhapur argued in the petition that due to politically motivated matters, Khan’s prolonged custody is a violation of the fundamental rights of the founder of PTI. He said that the constitution provides a solution for release on parole to avoid such detention. The petitioner further mentioned that there is a danger of deteriorating health due to prolonged imprisonment. The petition also said that the PTI founder has not violated jail rules during his custody.
