Iran, US set for further conversation on nuclear program next week

Iran and the United States will continue negotiations next week on Tehran’s fast -developed nuclear program, the Iranian state television announced on Saturday. The update followed the first face-to-face talks between the two sides since the new Trump administration.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi and US Midest Envoy Steve witchoff Exchanging brief words in the presence of Oman’s Foreign Minister on the outskirts of Oman, marked a rare communication between the two countries with a stressful relationship of about five decades.
A statement from Washington described the talks as “very positive and creative”. Vitkoff allegedly told Araghchi that he was looking for a diplomatic solution for the ongoing struggle with President Trump under direct orders.

“We are giving a real and honest opportunity to diplomacy, so that through dialogue, we can proceed on the nuclear issue on one side, and more important for us, to lift the restrictions.”
