‘I won’t say anything else’: US spokesperson asked questions on India-Pakistan

Addressing a press briefing, US State Department Spokesman Tammy bruce A Pakistan journalist shook, who sought a comment on the India -Pakistan border tension.
“I am not going to comment on this. I appreciate it, and perhaps, we will come back to you with another subject. I will not say anything more on that situation. The President and Secretary have said things, as is the Deputy Secretary; he has clarified his positions. I will not continue anything in that way.”
The US government expressed unwavering support for India after a deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April, claiming 26 lives. The attack targeted tourists in Besaran Meadow and described as the worst since the 2019 Pulwama tragedy.
President Donald Trump personally called Prime Minister Narendra Modi to offer condolences and condemn the attack on 23 April. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, Trump expressed full support for India’s efforts to provide justice to the attackers. Vice President JD Vance also called Modi and reiterated Washington’s readiness to assist terrorism. State Secretary Marco Rubio later posted on social media, which confirmed, “The United States stands with India.”
In a rapid response, the Government of India has taken several diplomatic and security steps. Following the meeting of a high-level Cabinet Committee (CCS) at the CCS meeting chaired by PM Modi, India declared Pakistani Defense Advisors in New Delhi as personality non-Gita and withdrew itself from Islamabad. Both countries will also reduce their high commission employees by about half by May 1.
Other measures in India include closing the attic integrated check posts, suspending the Indus Waters Treaty and cancellation of visa exemption for Pakistani citizens under the SAARC Visa Rebate Scheme. Under the SSES visa, 48 hours have been given to leave Pakistani citizens in India.
