‘I am rental sorry’: South Korea after removing from office

The Constitutional Court of South Korea has upheld the President’s impeachment Like Suk YeolOfficially removed him from the post and suddenly brought his controversial term to the end.

Acting Chief Justice Moon Hyung-Bee said, “Finally, the declaration of martial law in the case violated important requirements for emergency martial law.” He said that despite the disruption caused by the President infection, it was necessary to remove the country’s constitutional order from the office.
South Korean response

South Korea faces fresh elections
The expulsion of Yun determines the platform for a new presidential election within two months. However, political stress is high, analysts warned that partition on impeachment can complicate the approach to South Korea’s international challenges, including relations with the US and North Korea.

In January, he was arrested and motivated for his martial law decree, which could be convicted for life sentence or even death sentence.
Some critics suggest that the military intervention was an attempt to block an independent investigation into scams associated with his wife Kim Kane.
