‘Horid violence’: JD Vance condemned arson attack at Pennsylvania Governor’s residence

The morning attack took place at around 2:00 pm on Sunday when 38 years old Kodi Balmer According to Pennsylvania State Police, allegedly extended the fence of the Governor’s residence and set fire to a part of the building using home -made fire. Governor Shapiro, his wife Lori, and four of his children were inside at that time, but were safely evacuated by the soldiers of the state.
“No one was injured and the fire was extinguished,” Shapiro confirmed in a statement. “Thank God.” The Harrisburg Bureau of Fire quickly responded, and officials say the explosion caused significant damage to the historic Georgian -style mansion.

Balmer was arrested and several allegations were faced, in which murder, terrorism, increased arson and a public officer were attacked. District Attorney Frank Chardo said that a criminal complaint is being finalized and confirmed that Balmer is in custody.
Standing outside the damaged residence later that day, Shapiro condemned the broad climate of enmity. He said, “This type of violence is becoming very common in our society, and if it is coming from a particular side or the other, I do not give a curse … it’s not right, and it has to be stopped,” he said.
Shapiro, a democrats selected in 2022 and once a potential 2024 vice -president were considered, thanked the law enforcement for his rapid response. “Every day, we stand with law enforcement and the first respondents who run towards danger to protect our communities. Last night, they did so for our family – and Lori and I am always grateful to them.”
