actor Himanshu MalhotraWhich played the role of prominent Rajiv Kapoor in 2021 war drama SoulRecently opened up his experience of shooting the film and revealed some back scenes-one of which included the initial spark of romance between prominent actors Siddharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani.In an interview with the screen, Himanshu Remember how he played a very unexpected role in Sher Shah. “I had auditioned for a film for Kunal Kohli, but it did not happen, and I was a little disappointed. Then I gave a test for a film, but I did not know it was for Sher Shah. In the audition script, it was just Captain Vikram written, Balra was not even mentioned,” He shared. Months later, he received a call in which he was informed that he was inserted into Sher Shah, supported by Dharma Productions and based on the Kargil war.Considering his time with co-star Siddharth Malhotra, Himanshu said, “It was very good to work with Siddharth. He was very hot and amicable. We were in Kargil. I was shooting there for 20 days, and he was there for 30-32 days. With us, Nikitin Dhar, Shiva Pandit-Hum was all with us.”Himanshu also remembered how his relationship deepened due to unexpected circumstances. “At that time, Article 370 was installed in Kashmir. We were trapped in Kargil, and when the shoot was canceled, we used to do music sessions from morning to night, and Siddharth was a part of that.”Touching Siddharth and Kiara’s relationship, he remembered some special grinding between the two. “We did not know much about his love story, but we could feel it blooming. I think it was Palanpur where we saw both of them together … It was here that the funeral sequence was shot. That was the time when we saw Kiara, because after that we went to Kargil,” Himanshu revealed. ” “I think they must have started then. We met him, took pictures, and we all sit together … it must have increased during the Chandigarh part.”
Filming in Kashmir during such politically tense times faced challenges for artists and crew. “It was a stressful moment, but it was the only time when we could shoot. Even the manufacturers didn’t know anything that would happen,” Himanshu said. “Fortunately, the Ministry of Defense, Dharma, and all others took care of us. We were surrounded by army officers. We had some amazing conversations with them.”Looking forward, Himanshu Malhotra will be seen next time Kesari VeerVivek is playing the role of an opponent with Oberoi. The film hit theaters on 31 May. He also has Rana Naidu season 2 in the pipeline.
