‘We have been doing dirty work for us for 3 decades’: Pakistan Defense Minister on support for terrorist groups
On being questioned about Pakistan’s role, Pakistan’s Defense Minister made a striking enter about his participation with terrorist groups, stating that “we have been doing this dirty work for the United States for 3 decades.”
During a widely broadcast interview with Sky News presenter Yalada Hakim, he directly questioned him about Pakistan’s historic participation in supporting terrorist organizations.
Khwaja Asif responded, admitting, “We have been doing this dirty work for the United States for about 3 decades … and including West, Britain … It was a mistake for it, and we were suffering for it, and that is why you are saying this. If we did not join the war against the Soviet Union and later in unknown in the war after 9/11, we were unknown.”
In the same interview, the Defense Minister issued a statement about the possibility of a full -scale struggle with India.
Following the Pahalgam attack of 26 people, the government implemented several diplomatic reactions, which included the closure of the attic ICP, canceling the SSES for Pakistani citizens with a 40 -hour departure notice, and reducing diplomatic staff in both high commissions.
The government also suspended the 1960 Indus Water Treaty after the Pahgam incident.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given serious consequences for both the attackers and conspirators. He emphasized that the time had come to end the remaining terrorist strongholds, stating that the determination of 140 crore Indians would defeat criminals of terror.
