Hamilton Shooting: Indian student Harimrat Randhawa shot dead with a stray bullet in Canada

A 21 -year -old Indian student, Haraimrat Randhawa On Wednesday evening (local time) was killed after being hit by a stray bullet while waiting at a bus stop in Hamilton, Ontario. The Hamilton Police is currently investigating the murder, confirming that Randhawa was not involved in shooting. The incident occurred at around 7:30 pm local time near the upper James Street and South Bend Road.
According to the police, a passenger in a black sedan opened fire on the residents of a white sedan, which led to a series of gunshots who also killed Randhawa. Paramedics rushed him to the hospital, but later succumbed to the gun bullet due to his injuries to the chest.
Shooting also caused damage to a nearby residence on Alanbi Avenue, where residents were watching television. Officials said the gunfire broke the back window, but no one was injured inside.
India’s Consulate in Toronto expressed deep grief over Randhawa’s death in a post on X: “We are deeply saddened by the tragic death of Indian student Harimrat Randhwa in Hamilton, Ontario. According to the local police, he was an innocent victim, who is associated with a straining during a shoot.
The Hamilton Police is appealing to help the public. Investigators are asking anyone who may have a decade or security camera footage, which can be captured to come forward with any information between 7:15 pm and 7:45 pm on Wednesday in the upper James and South Bend Road area that can aid in the investigation.
