Director Gopichand Malineni, known for her work in Tollywood, recently made her Bollywood debut JatBollywood star Sunny Deol in the lead role is characteristic. The film coming to theaters on April 10 has now crossed more than Rs 80 crore in India.
Malineni has now revealed that the film was initially planned with Nandamuri Balakrishna, not Sunny Deol.
In an interview with Telugoon, the filmmaker shared that the original concept for JAT was first picked for the Telugu actor Nandamuri Balakrishna.

Gopichand collaborated with Nandamuri in the 2023 hit film ‘Veera Simha ReddyAsked about his plans to cooperate once again, he said, “Yes, this is a different story. In fact, the first story I thought is now Jat.”
“I had two to three stories, in fact, for Balya Babu. After the unbroken, people had high expectations from him – and, of course, he knew that I initially gave him an idea, and he liked it. But after Akhan was released, he thought it would be better if we do a group film.

Nevertheless, Malineni is satisfied with how Jat was eventually obtained in Hindi -speaking areas. He referred to visiting theaters and watching the audience dancing on the title track of the film during the final credit. Gopichand attributed success to a southern cinematic style fusion with a northern star, given that it resonates well with the audience.
Randeep Hooda and Regina Cassandra also played an important role in Jat. According to Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 115.10 crore globally.
