Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma

Indian cricket team head coach Gautam Gambhir has broken their silence on the future of senior stalls Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, which makes it clear that performance will not determine and will not determine its place in the national team.
In a strong message that is cut through speculation around the team’s transition and potential farewell, Serious Said, “As long as they are performing, they should be part of the team. Performance ensures selection. Any coach, selector, or even BCCI can tell someone to close to stop playing.”
Gambhir also dismissed any perception of farewell to Indian great people, stating that emotional seasons have no place in the atmosphere of high performance. “No player plays for farewell. The greatest farewell and trophy is the country’s love. This really matters,” he said.
Speaking at ABP India at the 2047 summit, the former India opener reiterated that his role is not to take a favorite, but to maintain merit. He said, “It is not the job of a coach to choose the team; it is for the selectors. My responsibility is to prepare whatever is chosen for India to perform.”

Gambhir hit a fickle note: “These are just two Delhi boys who are having fun. If this is a problem, I would ask the BCCI to stop posting about it.”

Known for its combative style on and out on the field, serious was firm on his nature. “I want to be a winner. Nobody wants to lose. I don’t want to change anything in it,” he announced.
As India’s cricketing landscape enters a new phase, Gambhir’s message is infallible: there will be no place for emotion or heritage when the performance comes at the cost of performance.
