As reported by the Indian Express, Gajraj recalled a scene of ‘Dil Se’, where he played the role of a CBI officer, which was assigned to Shah Rukh Khan’s character with Nabing. During the rehearsal, Gajraj pushed Shah Rukh against the wall, cautioning director Mani Ratnam to him, “Shahrukh is a hero, he is a star. We need to complete the film. Don’t push him like this.” However, Shah Rukh encouraged Gajraj to perform with full energy, saying, “Do the same thing.” Gajraj praised Shah Rukh’s charisma and the ability to make everyone on the set and the ability to close.

Gajraj explained why he barely pushed Shah Rukh during a scuffle. He said, “We were very raw. We came to Delhi from a theater and did not know diplomacy. I got excited, but Shah Rukh’s energy is 10,000 more than any actor on the set”.
