Bhopal: Four tribal girls, including three minors, were abducted by seven persons in Maoist-worked Balghat district of Madhya Pradesh.
Police said the event took place on the night of 23 April, which after a wedding reception in village Thaurtola, under the jurisdiction of Godri post, the police said.
According to the preliminary police report, the girls were returning to their village, with a local resident, when they were stopped by a group of youth on two motorcycles from Bhagatpur village.
Officials said that seven persons are involved in the case, and the necessary legal provisions have been implemented.
Girls include three minors and an adult. All the accused persons have been identified and are currently in police custody. His names and age are as follows: Lokesh Mate (22), son of Santosh Mate, Lalchand Khare (34), Chamaru Khare’s son, Bahe (28), Shivlal Wah’s son, Aju alias Bagdate (21), Ramcharan Bagdate, Rajandram (20) son Shivacharan Wah and Eglash (17), son of Santosh Mate
Legal proceedings have been initiated under the Indian Justice of India (Section 70 (1), 70 (2), 351 (2)), POCSO Act (Section 5/6), and SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act [Sections 3(1)(w)(i), 3(2)(v), and 3(2)(v-a)],
