Former US President Joe Biden diagnosed ‘aggressive’ prostate cancer

Former US President Joe Biden has been detected by prostate cancer, his office announced on Sunday.Their diagnosis follows recent medical checks in which a worrying development was detected.Biden was seen by doctors earlier this week after showing symptoms of urine. A regular physical examination had exposed a small nodule in its prostate, inspiring further tests. By Friday, doctors confirmed the presence of prostate cancer, in which cells already spread to their bones. His office said in a statement, “While it represents the more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive that allows for effective management.” “The President and his family are reviewing treatment options with their doctors.”Prostate cancer is rated from 1 to 10 with a glyson score, showing how abnormal cancer cells look compared to healthy people. Biden’s 9 score means that their cancer is very aggressive.Earlier this week, both ABC News and The New York Times reported that Biden had a medical evaluation after the discovery of the prostate nodule. According to NYT, he was undergoing additional examinations at a Philadelphia Hospital on Friday.A spokesperson told ABC News on Tuesday, “The 82 -year -old former US President who is undergoing Biden medical evaluation, when doctors discovered a small nodule in their prostate during a regular physical examination,” a spokesperson told ABC News on Tuesday.Biden’s medical history has often attracted public attention, especially during and after his presidential post. In February 2023, still in the office, a wound was removed from his chest. White House doctor Dr. Kevin O’Coner later confirmed that it was a basal cell carcinoma. O’Coner said at the time, “All cancer tissue was successfully removed. … No further treatment is required.”He explained that although basal cell carcinoma usually does not spread like other skin cancer, it can grow up when untreated. “They, however, have the ability to increase size, resulting in a more important issue as well as challenges for surgical removal.”Before assuming office, Biden also underwent surgery to remove non-melonoma skin cancer. In 2023, O’Coner stated that the biopsy site “healed” well and said that biden would continue with regular skin tests.Despite recently declared “fit for duty” by O’Coner as February 2024, Biden continued to face public doubts about his age and mental clarity. These concerns were widely believed that his decision to move away from the 2024 election race was influenced.Since leaving the post in January, Biden has placed a relatively low profile, but has appeared in the media for some time, including US President Trump interviews at the White House, the first 100 days before Trump.
