Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is entangled in a dispute on Friday (April 18) after submitting a formal complaint to the Mumbai Police, accusing him of making an aggressive and caste-based remarks. Brahmin Community … This kind of abusive language cannot be tolerated in a civil society. The law should take its curriculum. ,

A lawyer and chief of the BJP, Maharashtra’s Social Media Legal and Advisory Department, expressed his deep concern and tagged Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. “As a member of the Brahmin community, I am deeply angry with this derogatory and disgusting comment made by Anurag Kashyap. Such a statement is not only casteist, but also hatred and provokes hatred and violates the principles of dignity and equality under our constitution. Divisional, disgusting materials should be strictly dealt with,” said.
currently, Kashyap No official response to the allegations has been released. The Mumbai Police has also not issued a statement nor confirmed the status of any FIR related to the case.
The controversy is believed to have stemped from Kashyap’s criticism from Kashyap’s Central Film Certification (CBFC). He strongly opposed the delay in the evacuation of Phule, a biography drama directed by Anant Mahadevan and Pratik Gandhi as Jyotiro Phule and Patikhha as Savitribai Phule.
The film has been at the center of a storm, allegedly raised by members of the Brahmin community in Maharashtra, who accused the film of misunderstanding. Kashyap questioned how the film – still unpublished – was also accessed by protesters, and also expressed disappointment over the CBFC issue.
