Fearing the workers of the US government, Trump Crackdown, Green Card holder asks editors to remove bayline from old stories.

Government activists, green card holders, teachers, and students across the US are asking journalist editors to remove their names from old news, fearing the backlash for ideas or identity from President Donald Trump’s administration, now considered “politically risky”.
According to Pointer’s Kelly McBrid, some government employees and others have asked journalists to extract their names from old news. These individuals are worried that the evidence of their sexual identification or posts who oppose Trump’s policies can make them unsafe to end employment.
Kevin Naf, who serves as the editor of the Washington Blade, told the outlet that taking down the stories “nothing that I have ever done with the exception of foreign sources that are facing life and death situations.”
Washington Blade has a long history of reporting on government discrimination against gay employees. Currently, the publication continues its role in scaring and recording examples of discrimination. “We are going backwards,” he said.
He said, “Fear is really intense. People are scared. They are afraid of losing their pension and, you know,” he said.
