With the Asian Games only weeks away, Krishna was immediately sent back to India. He started his rehabilitation fiercely, including daily swimming, light jog and constant push through pain.

The 27 -year -old attended the 800 meter race at the Asian Games and despite cleaning the heat, his injured ankle caught him back to the main event. The dream of an Asian game medal disappeared. However, the worst was yet to come.
“I soon returned to training because I wanted to compete in the Olympics,” he sighs. “Then one day, during a session, my already weakened ankle. This time, it was not one. Three ligaments were completely torn, and there was also a small fracture.”
For a few days, Krishna was allowed to rebel to the national camp, but when the new list came out, his name was missing. At the same time, agitated and hurt, he called and recited the people they had known for years: friends, coaches, officers. Some did not respond, some responded and never called back.
“I am not speaking against anyone. I requested to add those calls to the list, but gradually, they stopped choosing my call, responding to my texts,” he remembers.
Bhiwani to Budapest: A Dream Worth Living
There are villages of Krishna on the outskirts of Bhiwani district of Haryana, which have no proper track or ground. Tagore joined the Indian Army in 1997 after completing his schooling from Senior Secondary School when he was in his 12th standard at the age of 17 years and 8 months.
“We had no resources. My father worked in the fields. The army gave me a way,” he tells him.

After the army, sports came into the life of the farmer.
“My first inspiration was the recruitment race of the army; 300–400 boys pushed me to barely train,” they say. “In 2018, I saw 2:08. Then one day, I watched a video of Jinson Johnson that was going on 1: 45.99. It inspired me. I thought, ‘I want to run like that.”
Thus, in its athletic career so far, there have not been many failures, stopping one.

When the call to ensure a permanent rehabilitation station was unliked, the sprinter was advised to undergo surgery. Surgery? Krishna often thought about it, but the money was tight.
He says, “I had already borrowed a little from friends and spent all this on training. I had not enough for surgery. If I had asked my father, he could also borrow,” he says.
Then he made a hard call and opted for rehabilitation. Under the guidance of Mayur Thakur, he committed to complete recovery and could release surgery.
“I was injured and isolated, even slipped into depression several times. But I reminded myself that I was a village boy, who started as a soldier in the army. I had to return at any cost. Through exercise, I slowly set my ankle,” Naib Sabdar In the Indian Army.

After more than a year, Krishna returned to the Indian Grand Prix in March this year, and in the men’s 800 meters, he first came to see a solid 1:47.
Solo, Krishna, in the Indian Army track in OT, Tamil Nadu, has set its places on the Asian Athletics Championships, where he will compete in South Korea from 27 May to 31 May.

In Krishna’s words, however, his return is not only governed by training, but a quiet word from home: “My mother has never gone to school, but she keeps telling me, ‘Don’t look back. Don’t look back. Whatever is right or wrong, he will come out, but keep moving forward.” She cannot be educated, but her words give me strength.
