Elon Musk denied the board drama between Tesla’s CEO replacement plan: what is really going on?

Elon Musk has returned to the Wall Street Journal as it is reported that Tesla’s board is actively working to convert them into CEOs.
In a post on X, Musk wrote: “It is a very bad violation of morality that @WSJ will deliberately publish a wrong article and fails to include an uneven refusal already by Tesla Board of Directors!”
Hours after the claims were claimed by WSJ, the scary response comes that Tesla contacted several executive discovery firms to identify a possible successor, citing sources familiar with internal discussions.
Why the board can consider a new CEOAccording to the report, Musk’s dual focus on the duties of its White House and the decline in Tesla profits trigge the move. Musk currently heads the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) under President Donald Trump. His time in Washington, with a 71% decline in Tesla’s quarterly gains and reducing sales in major markets, allegedly increases concerns within the board.
Tesla Board members allegedly asked Musk to focus the company earlier this year. He recently assured investors during an earning call, saying: “From next month, I will allocate my time to Tesla more time.”

Trump hints on Musk’s returnTrump stepped away from his federal duties during a cabinet meeting on Wednesday. The President allegedly said, “As long as you want, it is invited to stay … I think he wants to go back home for his cars,” the President allegedly said.
Despite being muscular on Tesla board, it is not clear whether they were informed or approved by the informed search process.

Politics, profit and public backlashMusk’s intimacy for Trump, including a $ 250 million campaign donation, has retreated equally among Tesla’s employees and customers. Tesla’s Mission of Sustainability clashed with Trump’s promises to revive oil and gas industries, causing confusion about the company’s direction. Tesla declined its first annual sales in more than a decade, while Cybertrok Rollout became an internet punchline.
Mem, joke and mistrustThe WSJ report went viral online, in which users share memes and sarcastic. “Everything touches the trump dies,” one wrote, Musk suggests that it may soon be out in Tesla. Others claimed that the move was to be orchestrated by Kasturi itself. “It is enough for those dumb to think that it happens without the blessings of @elonmusk, I have a sh ** coin to sell you,” read a post.
