Delton Cop closed Ice wrongly arrested at a traffic stop

A Dalton police officer stepped down from his post after accidentally arresting a 19 -year -old unspecified student, resulting in a city spokesperson of CBS News on Saturday.Bruce Fragier did not give any additional details about the officer’s departure or the reasons behind it, speaking to the city of Dalton, which declined to identify the officer by the name.The officer’s departure follows an incident on 5 May, when he accidentally pulled him into the Whitfield County Jail in Delton to create an inappropriate turn on Ximena Arias Cristobal and driving without a license, from where ICE officials took him into custody.A review of the dashboard camera recording revealed that a separate vehicle similar to the truck of Arius Christobal had made an inappropriate turn. As a result, the authorities demolished traffic charges against him on 12 May.The conversation recorded between the officer and the Arius Christobal is involved:“You ever went to jail?” In the decadent footage, he heard Arius Christobal.“No, sir,” he replied.“Okay, you are leaving,” said the officer.“I can’t go to jail. I have my finals next week. My family depends on it,” said Arius Christobal.Police dashash footage arrested Arius Christobal on 5 May 2025 for abuse, which was later rejected by the Dalton Police Department official.Arius Christobal, who arrived at the US from Mexico at the age of 4, remained in the custody of snow on a lumpkin custody from early May 22 to 22 May, when he received bonds from an immigration judge.His father, detained by ICE in April after the traffic stop, was also held in the same lumpkin facility before the bond and release last week.The Homeland Security Department has indicated that the two face potential exile in Mexico.
