When will India get its first 5th generation secret fighter? DRDO Main Answer | Bharat News

New Delhi: India is ready to achieve its first fifth generation stealth fighter Jet, Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA), by 2035, DRDO President Sameer V Kamat said on Sunday.
Usually, accepting the long deadlines associated with developing state -of -the -art fighter jet programs, Kamat said, “If you watch any program anywhere in the world, it takes 10 to 15 years to develop a new platform. So we have started the journey only in 2024 when the CCS has approved the project.
“We want to start an aero engine program and we want to cooperate with a foreign OEM to reduce the risks of development. Aero engine technology is a very complex technique, although we have learned a lot from Cauvery. Kaveri was a fourth generation engine and current engine technology wants to work in the sixth generation, as well as doing anything.
Talking about other important projects to be completed in the year, Kamat said, “There are many projects that are now moving towards maturity. In the next six months, in a year, you will see that many of our systems are being included. Vshorad, mpatgm, we have LCA Mark II, which are looking at many systems, which are moving towards the next six months.
For the first time, comments came after the defense organization, using a 30-cilowat laser-based weapon system, showcased their ability to neutralize fixed-wing aircraft, missiles and herd drones.
“This is just the beginning of the journey. The synergy that this lab has achieved with other DRDO labs, industries and academics, I am sure we will soon reach our destination … We are also working on other high energy systems such as high energy systems such as high energy microwaves, electromagnetic pulse. So we are working on many techniques.
With this success, India has joined a select group of nations such as the US, China and Russia-successfully demonstrated similar advanced-energy abilities.
