MLC 2025: Jason Behrandorf of Washington Freedom rejected cricket news due to injury

Australian Pesar Jason Behrandorf of Washington Freedom was excluded from the remaining matches of the 2025 Major League Cricket (MLC) season on Monday, the franchise announced.Washington Freedom said in a statement, “Jason Behrandorf has been dropped from Cognizant Major League cricket season 3 due to an injury.”“The group is going to remember its energy and experience. We wish Dorf a quick recovery and hope to look back with us in the next season. Jason’s replacement will be announced soon.”Behrendorff, who will be 35 years old in April, has played 17 T20I and 12 ODI for Australia.He took two wickets in three matches for Pretoria Capital, in the recent SA20 SA20 season.Defending champion Washington Freedom has won one of the two matches he has played in the ongoing MLC season so far.
Earlier this year, the Left-Arm Quick declared its retirement from state cricket after 16 years with Western Australia.At the end of the last season, after leaving Perth Scormers, he retired-BBL ended as a leading wicket-taker and signed a three-year deal with Melbourne Renegades. He won four BBL titles with Scormers in 13 years, 106-game career.“It played a big role in my decision to retire,” he said after the declaration of his retirement.“I know that I am away from international commitments, franchise leagues and like this, but I want to be home and present for my children-things like school pick-up and drop-off.“To be able to do those things that I don’t always get to do, to spend more quality time with my wife, Juaywell … to immerse myself more in family life.”
