Zomato COO RINSHUL Chandra resigns with “immediate effect”: Read his ‘resignation email’ to CEO Deepinder Goyal

Rinshul Chandra, the Chief Operating Officer of Zomato’s Food delivery business, has resigned, the company said in a regulatory filing on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). In BSE filing, Zomato said that it was resigned on Saturday 5 April and its last working day would be on April 7, 2025. Food delivery is the largest revenue of zomato which is vertical.
Filing addressed Chandra’s resignation letter to Zomato founder and CEO Deepinder GoyalWhile the brand name of the company’s food delivery business remains the same, as well as with the app, the company has changed the name of the corporate unit to eternal. The BSE has eternal branding in Zomato’s notice sheet.
Chandra joined Zomato in the year 2018 and in 2023, the food distribution was elevated as COO. Zomato has not yet announced who will replace Chandra.

Top level resignation in Zamato
ZOMATO has seen a wire of resignation at the top level since September last year. In September 2024, Chief People Officer and Co-founder, Akrity Chopra immediately resigned effectively. According to the company’s stock exchange filing, Chopra left the company to pursue other interests. One of the oldest Zomato employees, Chopra joined ZOMATO as Senior Manager of Finance and Operations in 2011. He was promoted as Chief Financial Officer in 2019 and became co-founder before the company’s IPO. In her most recent role, she was also the chief person officer of Zomato.
Hemal Jain’s resignation was then resigned, which was the Finance Head of Hyperpire of B2B grocery and global head of CFO.
