President Donald Trump’s return to the Oval Office in January this January felt like a seismic phenomenon compared to a simple transition to power. In just 100 days, they have destroyed the new deals and the main pillars of the great society, exposed the decades of free-trade commitments, and sent shockwaves through a once considered unwavering coalition. From emergency announcements to re -write the rules of global commerce, to call the federal workforce to call Alone Musk himself, this administration rarely moved forward with a speed and boldness in modern Washington.
Instead of demanding gradual changes, Trump has employed executive orders as his primary tool, tore environmental safety measures, restored federal death penalty, and challenged the very definition of citizenship in adventure, far -reaching stroke. Their border strategy has shifted to military currency by political promise: soldiers now patrol new stronghold fences, migrants have to face expelled expulsion without court hearing, and have been revived to widely clarify centuries old laws.
On 2 April, the US imposed 145% tariff on most Chinese imports, called it “liberation day” action. The move abolished the de minimis exemption for shipment from China and Hong Kong, increasing the standard duties for goods sent via a private carrier to at least 145%. In response, China increased the tariff on American goods by 125% after two weeks, calling the US hike “joking”, even the conversation continued. Since then, the tension between the US and China has inspired importers to stockpile goods, a decline in factory activity in Asia, and has pushed the American tariff to their highest level in more than a century.
Beyond the policy, Trump has targeted cultural institutions that he is out of step with his vision. The “Vok” labels have been excluded for blaming or reorganizing universities, museums and media outlets carrying. In less than half a year, this presidential post has challenged the criteria, tested legal boundaries, and re -defined the scope of executive power in the US.
