Restore green cover or be prepared for jail: Telangana from Supreme Court. Bharat News

New Delhi: Given that it would not hesitate to go out of the way to protect the environment and ecology, the Supreme Court on Wednesday took a strong exception to the Telangana villages flying trees and removed more than 100 acres of green cover in the forest of Kancha Gachibovali in Hyderabad and said that the village had sent only two options – either.
Senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi, who was present for the state, said that any error was “Bonfed and Unknowingly” and assured that the government would follow the direction of the court, a bench of Justice Bra Gawai and AG Maasih replied that if the village wanted to save his Chief Secretary and other officials from going to jail, it has to harm it.
“If you want the Chief Secretary to be saved from serious action, then you have to come out with a plan how you will restore those hundred acres … Otherwise, we don’t know how many of your officers will have to go to a temporary jail built at the same place near the lake,” the bench said. “For the protection of environment and ecology, we will withdraw from the path when needed,” said this.
Singhvi said that 1,300-odd trees were exempted from self-promotion in terms of law and also insisted that there were some species of plants that were exempted. But the bench replied that without the permission of the court, no fall of any kind of trees was allowed and this was done in violation of its order.
The bench stated that the projects of national importance also required court permission, such as widening the roads in the border areas for strategic purposes, and said that in the case of widening the roads for the four religions, the government took the court permission. It said that the Telangana government cannot justify its action.
The bench said that after removing the green cover, it was surprised to see the views of the wild animals running for the shelter. It sought a report from the wildlife warden of the state on the steps taken to protect wildlife and allowed Singhvi’s petition for a month’s time to prepare a revival scheme for the area.
