Congress leader P Chidambaram unconscious due to heat in Ahmedabad, arrives at hospital

New Delhi: Veteran leader and former Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram fainted between the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting and the All India Congress Committee (AICC) national session on Tuesday.
Chidambaram was rushed to the hospital by party workers.
Congress leaders from across the country gathered in Gujarat, one state has not won a state in 30 years, to discuss their next political steps on the next two days, 8 April and 9 April.
The party aims to overcome the recent state election defeat, which happened after its strong performance in the Lok Sabha elections.
Ahmedabad is hosting the 84th National Conference of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) on 8-9 April. This is the first time in 64 years when this program is being held in Gujarat.
As part of the convention, the Congress Working Committee (CWC) started discussions in Ahmedabad today to discuss the party’s future plans, major national affairs, internal organizations and the upcoming elections preparations for the upcoming elections. Congress President Mallikrajun Kharge, CPP President Sonia Gandhi, Opposition Lok Sabha leader Rahul Gandhi and other prominent Congress leaders are participating in the meeting.
